Nancy Walters, MAT
Nursery Director
Nancy Walters, M.A.T. brings more than two decades of experience in early childhood education, specializing in Reggio Emilia-inspired, project-based learning. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, both earned with academic honors from Webster University, and maintains her Missouri Early Childhood Teaching Credential. Throughout her career, Nancy has served as a classroom teacher, mentor educator, education coach, infant-toddler specialist, and school leader, supporting children from infancy through preschool while coaching teachers and partnering closely with families.
Nancy's professional journey has taken her to nationally recognized Reggio Emilia-inspired schools, including The College School and Maplewood Richmond Heights School District, as well as Preschool of the Arts in Madison, Wisconsin. She has studied directly in Reggio Emilia, Italy, is an active member of the North American Reggio Emilia Alliance (NAREA), and continues to deepen her practice through ongoing professional learning. Nancy believes that every child is capable, curious, and deserving of an environment that inspires wonder, creativity, and meaningful relationships.
Celine Mercier, M.A.Ed
Nursery Assistant Teacher
Celine Mercier is a dedicated early childhood educator who brings creativity, warmth, and a deep commitment to nurturing each child's unique potential. She holdsa Multiple Subject Teaching Credential through National University and a Master's degree in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), giving her a strong foundation in both academic instruction and the emotional well-being of young learners. In addition, Celine is also currently completing her Early Childhood Teaching credential.
Celine also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Architecture from Sacramento State University, bringing a thoughtful eye for designing beautiful, engaging learning environments that inspire curiosity and exploration. With experience as a student teacher, substitute teacher, and childcare coordinator, Celine has developed a collaborative, child-centered approach that emphasizes hands-on learning, positive relationships, and inclusive classroom practices. Fluent in both English and French, she values cultural connection and meaningful communication with children and families.
Kelly Clark,
Teacher
Kelly Clark, B.A. has dedicated more than 30 years to caring for and educating children, bringing a wealth of experience in early childhood education, family support, and child development. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Southern Oregon State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and holds current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Child Care Health & Safety. Throughout her career, Kelly has served as a preschool teacher, Learning Center Director, nanny, and childcare professional, helping children build confidence, independence, and strong social-emotional skills in safe, nurturing environments.
Kelly's passion for supporting the whole child extends beyond the classroom. Her background includes working with Head Start programs, the Boys & Girls Club, family support and parent education, as well as specialized training in autism, Down syndrome, crisis intervention, and child wellness. She believes every child deserves to feel seen, encouraged, and inspired to explore the world around them.
Amanda Honda, M.A.
Director
Amanda Honda, M.A. comes from an extensive early childhood education background, including experience as the Director at the Santa Monica Early Childhood Lab School, Teacher at a Forest School, and years of experience working with infants through preschoolers in Reggio Emilia-inspired programs. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies, a Master’s of Arts in Early Childhood Education, and a deep passion for giving families the best start possible. Amanda also offers Parenting Classes and Conversation Spaces for parents of infants.
She supports infants, families, and teachers in developing community, sustaining deep appreciation for the outdoors, and fostering a love of learning. In her spare time, you can find her hiking and exploring the outdoors with her own family.
